Sound alike Product names

Such as spywarebot from (w*w*w.*s*p*y*w*a*r*e*b*o*t.c*o*m ) for example, this name has a similar ring to SpyBot. S&D. from http://www.safer-networking.org (the good guy.!)
At the time I put this together, safer-networking.com had the same sub domain name but a different TLD (.com) were as Safer-networking (.org) is the good guy.
These types are sometimes just an overnight sitter and can pop up out of the woodwork at any time.

System message Nag

The System message Nag was the one that targeted those whom were unfamiliar, with windows ability to allow machines out side their local network ,to throw up a message box.
Often designed to look a lot like a local system message, claiming to warn them of the ability of the messaging. While using the very same messaging system to coax them into buying their software ,to stop the messages. . Hmm when all one needed to do, was to turn the network messenger off ,in control panel services. Note: If you were uncomfortable, with working with services, you could have visited this nice humans Web site (Below).

Thanks to Steve Gibson at GRC.com who provided Free tools and warned the internet public of the dangers of things
like open ports, un-needed services that ran in the back-ground needlessly, just waiting to answer the calls of bots and program savvy
individuals that will stop at nothing ; including preying on the unsuspecting user of the windows operating
system.
Doing things such as sending a network message to peoples machines, nagging them with that very same method to purchase
software to stop those same type messages. to trick or fool them into buying software that they simply did not need,
and for the most part, those selling such software were the main ones sending such messages to begin with.
Thank you Steve Gibson for being a true Friend, not just to one but to all who surf the net and take the time to seek find and read.
