Domain Name Server IP Entry.
*DNS = ( Domin Name Server )
Note: You may need to reboot after entering these IP's, but disabling and then re-enabling the local
connection ( or wireless network if that's what your using); always works for me.
Steps to placing IP's into your TCP/IP Properties.
Look on the task bar and see if the computer icon is there as pictured here.
(It is the second circled icon to the right on this example..)
If your network connection icon isn't showing, then go to network connections
via control panel, If it is; double click it, it should bring up
the local or wireless connection window similar to the one below.
Now double click the Internet Protocol TCP/IP , or click on the properties tab after highlighting.
If your machine has numbers already in these boxes, then you should write these down so you can
change them back if necessary, then fill in the numbers as you see here.
Check Use The following DNS server address.
When you go to add the number 67 just type a period to get it to move to the next box or use your tab key on your keyboard. (Because it has only two digits) The rest have three and advance to the next automatically
Note::If after entering these ip's the machine doesn't access the net, simply return to the old settings;
most machines can do that by checking obtain DNS server address automatically. and then clicking ok
then reboot, or try disable connection and reinable local connections first if you like. .
You'll find there are several Public Doman Name services and servers
(with or without filtering).
Also many services that filter have a settings page allowing you to decide what to filter.
Simply do a search for "DNS filtering" or just "public Name server(s) or Public DNS Servers".
The Example DNS Ip's on this page are
Public ( Publicly available )
