Big foot is a subject that has come up from time to time since I was just a young lad.
Mostly related to hunting cave exploration and the like.
I recall my uncle telling me how he and others came in close proximity at times while coon hunting.
He also called an area by name where big foot and other somewhat strange things happened or were.
I personally feel compelled to keep details like that to myself, due to others that might disturb the
area or possibly cause harm to that or such a creature.
I recall years passing and then hearing the same details concerning that area and then hearing
that same name. (The location) from a friend I came to know.
I have never seen big foot myself but have been in the woods late at night and smelt that musky
scent , most everyone that mentions big foot associates with him.
But then I am the fellow that tried to catch what I thought was a young coon while My cousin
LHAO , I later ask him why he was laughing and he said that thing would rip me up.
He said it was full grown and not a little one and that it probable wouldn't matter even if it had been.
I had a close encounter while exploring a cave but later ask my granddad who had explored
that cave many years earlier and on more than one occasion over the years and so knew it well,
what creature that could have been which walked upright and slowly disappeared in the direction
we had just came out from. I was against a huge rock and in a turn too far to actually see
anything but three guys on the end nearest froze and I noticed while they watched him enter.
They later described this as very tall and black seeing only it's form due to the darkness in the cave
but caught glimpse as it lightened.
I did hear sounds of walking especially clear after having everyone back away and stand just inside
the mouth of the cave, while I eased back in the direction he (the creature) had fled. There was a water
stream there and I herd light footing sounds in the stream. As for what it was my granddad told me
it was likely a bear he called old three toes. My uncle once referenced three toes one night during a
coon hunt due to some foot prints in the mud near and about a water stream.
After hearing granddads tell of the bear, I figured out my uncle wasn't referring to a three toed
coon that one night years earlier.. He also informed me that because it was raining heavenly that night
we were all in danger, funny too the reason we were coming back to the front of the cave was
because I had noticed the water rising, he informed me he had seen water shooting out of the mouth
of that cave during rain not as bad as was that night. We had left soon after getting near the front and
after the creature entered. The mouth of that cave when standing before it outside, is higher than just
inside the mouth by a 6 foot or more decline. The mystery of how that much water could shoot out
was later revealed to me by my Dad as he told me how there was a sink whole that went down into
the cave, I recall looking up and out the whole; but didn't know that was the case at that time. I had
described this to him along with info of initials I had seen in the farthest area we had gone, putting
two and two together having him inform me I was directly below that sink hole within a field.
(if one were to locate it outside and above the cave.)
