Email spam prevention from the ground level up.

The best way to protect yourself from spam is to educate your friends and co-workers on the do's and don;ts of mass or more specifically and more common, multi reply. Such as when you get that new joke in the mail and decide to pass it on to everyone you know and possibly, just for the record, some folks you are not even aware are in your address book. ------------------------------------- Sneak email as it is deemed in the Web address is , yet another of my own personally experienced anti-spam fighters. If you care to join in then download it and go join the forum. If not then join the the forum anyway and be the first to set a new topic or join in on those that interest your.

Why Dynamic IP mass blacklisting may be a bad idea.

But first a note to help speed your registration Email through; if you plan to register on the spycurb, Fello Seekers of Christ forum or Auction Curb , or Amd Addict forum, then do not use a Yahoo emil address , so far they have persistantly blocked via an anti-spam site (by sites I'll soon get around to naming once all data is in and matches what I have so far) They block all dynamic IP's regardless of the current owner of that IP.. Quite frankly I find that the methods and their Dynamic IP blacklist, Blacklist provided by the black listing site Terribly distasteful. These methods do not falling short of methods that include such parallels as throughing the baby out with the bath water. If you have not been getting e-mails that are to come through services that use such anti-spam methods, then now you know why! No doubt I will be gathering a list of sites that run on Dynamic IP's in order to show the magnitude and impact they have on inosent internet mail services, who only use a mail server to allow registration for such things as forums and the like , having no ties with spammers or spamming. And for the record just because an IP happens to be Dynamic, doesn't mean that some poor excuse of a so called anti-spam site can take it on them selves to decide on their own that blocking an IP because it is Dynamic is in anyway Just! (Colorful metaphors removed to maintain politness to the readers.) Since running a web site eventually means dealing with spam , I am going to share my thoughts and experiences on email blacklist and mainly; and also the saddest part of how large companies, even with college educated individuals working for them as employees, are apparently far worse at fighting spam than receiving spam is annoying itself. You herd me right, the very sources of protection they choose is now the real threat to email delivery and about as effective as asking everyone to just stop sending email altogether!. Note that if everyone would stop sending all emails then the highly wasted bandwidth used for spam would free up and cease altogether. Sounds good on paper as far as freeing up bandwidth doesn't it.(Yea I left out grandmas letter to her grandson , didn't I ?) In this article to come you will see how ruthless spam fighters do that very same thing! I'll give you a hint from only one area of their so called protection ---
" Dynamic IP Blacklisting "
and counter measures added to that scenario that degrade the mail service of the unsuspecting and innocent email server ran by the holder of that dynamic IP and unethically (Tri locking up a mail server running on a dynamic IP on for size.) based on the readily available potential for someone to use that Ip to send Spam. (O but wait there's more.) --- and yes I could have justifiably use colorful metaphors to have s pelt out my feeling on that one.!.
More to come later on as I dig through the valley of the shadow of ignorance, And no this is not one of those sites with a under construction sign on it LOL, it's just the way I do things here a spycurb, I put out what I have and add as I get it. together, so feel free to check back in a tid bit. Ok it's been a tad bit so a few notes are inn order until I have finished collecting my data for the project. Note: because this IP changes at times, so does the blocked IP, but not so much, with some domains using the above not yet named Anti-Spam site or service. I am collecting data based on the most persistent blocking of all or with the most blocked dynamic IP's So stand by and lets see were this leads,. I should mention that before you go boy coting Yahoo or any domain name, search engine or other, you should know that for example Yahoo just happened to be the most persistent at blocking dynamic IP's via blacklist from specific black listers at the time I began this venture of sharing info on Dynamic IP blacklisting.
